WALLYFORD GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Scottish village of Wallyford, close to Edinburgh, boasted a greyhound stadium in Scarlett Park which was situated at 3° 1'W 55° 56'N. The independently run track ran a number of prominent races throughout its history, including the East Lothian Derby over 470 yards and the East Lothian Sprint over 285 yards. The track also ran distance races over 660 yards. The track closed its gates for the final time in 1992 and the site on which the former track once stood is now covered by a housing estate.
